Imagine a space where your views on politics, but also on all social issues, from economics to cultural conditions, are promoted, discussed and reinforced - with respect and insight. That's Politeia.
Politeia is a student-run online newspaper started by political science students here at the VU. The members make up a wide range of studies. From anthropology to business, everyone is given a voice. Inspired by the ancient Greek concept of "politeia" as citizenship and community, we create a space for young voices to explore underrepresented political topics from diverse perspectives.
At Politeia, we publish engaging articles, interviews and other content on contemporary issues, ranging from international conflicts to cultural and social critiques. As you can see on this slide, our content covers a wide range of global topics, provoking meaningful discussions and highlighting stories overlooked by mainstream media. We focus on fresh student perspectives to promote thoughtful political discourse.

George Orwell imagined the Thought Police kicking down your door, bursting into your apartment at 3 a.m., and dragging you away for thinking unapproved thoughts. Wrong vibe. Too loud. Too much paperwork. Turns out the future didn’t need violence. It needed good UX.
